Make-ready vs. touch-up: what's the difference?

A make-ready (turnover) clean is a full top-to-bottom clean of a vacant property after a move-out or a renovation. It prepares the unit for a new tenant, a buyer walkthrough or listing photos. A touch-up is a shorter, targeted visit. Maybe the property was cleaned weeks ago but has been sitting, and dust, insects, footprints from showings or contractor traces have built up. A touch-up brings it back to show-ready condition without paying for a full clean again. Typical make-ready scope • Kitchen: inside and outside cabinets and drawers, countertops, sink, inside and outside appliances (oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher) • Bathrooms: tub, shower, toilet, vanity, mirrors, fixtures, cabinets • Baseboards, door frames, doors, switch plates and outlets • Windowsills, interior window tracks and blinds • Ceiling fans, light fixtures and vents (dusted) • Closets and shelving • Floors vacuumed and mopped. Carpet cleaning is available on request. • Removal of leftover small debris (larger items: see Trash-Out Services) Typical touch-up scope • Dust surfaces, sills and fixtures • Remove insects, cobwebs and dust from showings • Wipe kitchen and bathroom surfaces and fixtures • Spot-clean floors, then vacuum and mop as needed • Final walkthrough so the property is ready to show We follow your work order.
